Last night we had the 2nd meeting of the fiber collective and it went great. We critiqued 2 of the artists and it was so wonderful to have a discourse about their work. I always love how when discussing other peoples work you get ideas and stimulation for your own creative process.

Some especially interesting things we discussed is the role of the invisible person and object, the role of the decorative and how it is often looked at as a "dirty" word, the role of traditional motifs, and how our backgrounds affect our studio practice. If you are local join us next time!
