I love, love, love the typography embroidery by Rosie Geissler. Rosie is a student of graphic design and obviously has a love for language. Mr. X Stitch mentioned one of her pieces last month and I swooned at her style and language.
I especially love how raw the text looks, the strings, the knots, the mess all in conjunction with the use of negative space. Gorgeous.
Some of the work is from quotes and perhaps some is original writing?
But she has a way with being simple and poignant.
She also does some great stitched illustrations.
