So though I do not get around to letting you know, as of late, but things are actually happening in my studio. Slowly but surely. I am actually enjoying how I am having to work a little different due to my schedule and such. The above piece is finally finished, thought not ironed and properly photographed, and is the newest addition to my "piles" series. I am very much looking forward to the next one... think toys.
Additionally - I am being inspired by a beat up sampler I found, a random "pile" applique I did as an example while I was teaching and have finished another small text work and am thinking about a new series. Strips of text- referencing love songs. I am actually really looking forward to exploring the idea some more. Looking forward to some extra time in my studio next week. Then life gets crazy again. ACK.
