a scale I aspire to...

Artist Janet Echelman creates work from fabrics using netting and lacing techniques...on a gigantic scale.
I have really been wanting to explore making some large scale work but it is so daunting in the commitment of time to it.
But Janet inspires... if only I had a team of assistance too:(

her website states that Janet-

reshapes urban airspace with monumental public sculptures made of diaphanous, flexible nets that move and change shape through time.

It is just gorgeous...

I especially love the ones that end up looking like giant amoebas or jelly fish in the sky...strange I keep being drawn to imagery that references water?
