Just in time for the holidays you can learn quick and easy embroidery techniques to create one of a kind holiday gifts or just add embelishments to clothing, scarves, towels, bags, and more.
In this workshop you will begin your very own original custom sampler. Each student will design their own sampler with a water-soluble marker, using their own unique handwriting or provided stencils. .
Learning the most basic skills of preparing the fabric, using the hoop, and threading the needle to finishing the project for final display. 6 traditional embroidery stitches will be taught: the split stitch, stem stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, and the ever-mysterious French knot. With the skills learned each student would be able to continue making beautiful pieces of art or simply embellish items of your own. So bring your creativity and lets get stitching!

i so wish i lived anywhere near the east coast. you are such an inspiration to me. i bought an embroidery hoop and it's beckoning me.
I wish I was able to attend! I love your work so much that I posted a feature on it yesterday. So beautiful and inspirational.
I would SO be there in a heartbeat, if only I lived in the area...sigh. Have fun!!
well, i hope the brooklyn community is as excited about tis as you all are.
I will start advertising soon and am just wanting about 5 people for it to be a success so that seems doable!
fingers crossed:)
I'm sorry I can't make the opening on Sat. --- it's the day of our xmas tour. I hope you do well, and your embroidery workshop is a great idea. There is such a wealth of embroidery history done by talented women. It's good to see you continuing a tradition with a new twist. GOOD LUCK -- hope to see you over the holidays -- stop by to see my trees and stay overnight enroute to NC... Craig
hope you are well craig-
we would love to see you, maybe on the way back from NC. We will see. We are going to Ohio beforehand.
I can imagine your house is gorgeous in the holiday decor.
