beautiful creatures.

Through a comment on my blog I was led to the work of Finch and as his website says " He makes things."


And indeed he does, make lovely, wonderful, whimsical things.

Most of his objects are a mix between toy, sculpture, adorable, and a little creepy. The balance is perfect making you the viewer have a complicated but wonderful response towards the work.


I definitely prefer his animals over his other work though they all have a nice sensibility. His background is in editorial accessory and prop making and to me this is evident in his avant gard stuffed animals?


The whimsy is wonderful. As he states " he strives to make everything as beautifully as possible." and to me he is a success.


I would love to see an entire forest full installation of his creations.
