Some Good Art Happenings...

Sweet & Savory opens tonight: 6 - 8 pm

at Pavel Zoubok Gallery.
533 West 23 rd Street. Between 10th and 11th Ave.

The press release states:

SWEET & SAVORY brings together a diverse group of works that examine our complicated and multi-layered relationship to food. Using a broad range of materials, each of these artists points to our cultural obsessions with food as: aesthetic object, social signifier, a vehicle of memory, or an icon of comfort and indulgence.

Alisha Mccurdy has a new solo exhibit also opening this week:

Wednesday, June 1st will mark the opening of a solo exhibition of new work by Alisha Mccurdy, in the seams, curated by Stony Brook MFA alumna, Kristine Granger, at Oasis Gallery, in Marquette, Michigan.
An opening reception will take place Friday June 3rd, 7-9p and an artist talk on Sunday June 5th, beginning at 3pm. The show runs through July 2nd.

Go see some art.
