woven wonders...

In the new American Craft magazine they feature the adorable, and still in love after 60 years of marriage, designers Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman. In reading the article I was quite taken with the beautiful and colorful weavings, wall hangings, and rugs of Evelyn.

Most of the work was designed by Evelyn and then created by skilled craftspeople in Mexico and other places around the world.

I really enjoy the graphic and timeless quality of Evelyn's modernist designs.

And her palette is amazing-her playful nature inspiring.

The life and work of this pair is a true inspiration to creative people everywhere

Wow, these weavings are wonderful. So many W's! But really, I love the playfulness and the colors and the designs. Definitely an inspiration.
