weekend bits.

gorgeous photo from here.

I had a great weekend of embroidery and artist friends. My embroidery class at Spacecraft on Saturday went great. The group was fun and seemed to truly enjoy themselves. The space worked out well too. I am thinking of starting to run some classes out of my own studio. Stores take such a huge cut of the $$ and for the most part you do all the marketing anyway. So I think I might try it in early December right in time for the holidays. I totally have the space in my studio for a small class, We could just gather around my old vintage kitchen table, Could be super fun. Tea, cookies, and thread!

Megan's awesome work!

Then Sunday I had the pleasure of inviting artist Megan Canning to my studio for a little visit. It is always great meeting a new artist and we are both from Ohio so she is obviously cool! I am looking forward to visiting her studio on Friday.

And. SUPER YAY!! My tracer came and it worked perfect!!!! So I have transferred the drawing for my big piece onto its linen and am so excited about it. I think it is going to be great. Cannot wait to get working on it later today.

Check out some images of the opening of over and under here and here. It looks like they had quite the turn out. Awesome.

I'm so happy the tracer is working for you! It's such a relief when something like that goes right :)
