drawings.

Working in the studio today. Spent a lot of time just organizing my brain but eventually got to some flower stitching on the ballerinas and some more drawing.

 

I am not sure if this drawing is done but I am sure that I am loving it. 

It has been unbelievable to work this way after so many years of not drawing at all.  It also is conceptually making a lot of sense to me too. Taking these torn, stained and worn-out clothes and fabrics and abstracting them with scale into these drawings feels good and meaningful to me.  They make a lot of sense with my text based works right now and I feel like some of the images I am printing also. So we will see but I am looking forward to working on these and seeing where they go.
