so very crafty!!

ok. So I am letting the cat (or baby) out of the bag (aka belly.)
You may have noticed over the last few months that I have been scatter brained and whining away about being tired.
Well, it is because I am indeed making a person in my belly. Crazy indeed.

I am super excited to share the news that I am 19 weeks pregnant and C and I will be expecting our first babe in early April. I saw this awesome design by muthacrafter (available in t-shirts and buttons, do you think I need one?) when I spoke at the super awesome summit of awesome last spring and catalogued it in my head to use whenever the egg hit the sperm and worked out.

Other than the before mentioned fatigue and scatter brain I have been very lucky and feeling really great. And now am adjusting to the weirdness of a growing belly.
So I just felt it was time to break the news to all of you.

No worries, I do not have any plans in this blog becoming a baby factory blog. And so far my work has has not had a profound change with the news, which surprised me a bit since I work so autobiographically. I have started one piece that focuses on the pregnancy and have a self portrait in mind that will include it as an aspect. But mostly my work is my work. Even if at the moment I am not so sure what that is.

Tracer where are you? Where oh where?
I have also bought some fun books on amazon in hopes to inspire my little studio world.
Anyhoo, back to my stitching.

ps. sorry no posts yesterday I had an unexpected visit from one of my closest friends and was distracted by her loveliness.

p.s.s if you are member of the shaw family and reading this please do not spread the news we are planning a pregnancy belly surprise at thanksgiving.

I'm very happy for you. My daughter is the best thing that ever happened to me. I wish you the same.

I wish we were friends in "real life" so I could get very excited and squeal a bit. However, I'm not sure how that translates into blog commenting! Basically, I'm so happy for you, happy that you're doing well with it, happy that you're happy... Really, this makes me very happy and excited! And don't feel like it's a bad thing if it does affect your work. I mean really how could it not? Even if not on purpose. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

CONGRATULATIONS! This is wonderful. In retrospect I can see your clues. It's funny I've never met you but feel like I know you anyway from your work and reading your statements!

Many many blessings on you and your family!

congratulations! i'm looking forward to the evolvement of your work and life and perspective.
it's strange, motherhood. it's every cliche you've ever heard wrapped up in the conviction that no one has ever experienced it before. it's amazing and it really does change everything. and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
(i should add that there is also absolutely nothing wrong with maintaining an identity outside of motherhood.)
okay, rambling stranger, that's me.
