a magical moodiness
I recently got the newest issue of Shots and was especially in love with the work of photographer Shelley Calton . They were some moody and gorgeous lit still life images of women's vintage under things... Unfortunately this new work is not online yet.
But her other work has the same quality of a mysterious and magical moodiness...
Her most known body of work is a series of Roller Derby Girls:
She is a photographer whom really knows how to use depth of field.
Strangely I have been really liking a lot of black and white work lately.
Though I have 6 rolls of color waiting to be developed.
The elegant photographs of Shelley Calton vacillate between their lucidity and the secrets that lie within.
