One of the shows I got recently saw in NY was the most recent installment of the Textile Arts Center's artist residency. If you do not know- this program is a 6 month studio residency at the TAC and each resident artist gets critique by the main mentor and visiting artists, curators, and gallerists regularly. To me like a little mini grad program. I have always loved this program and have personally known 3 artist whom have gone through the program or are currently.
Sadly I could not be at the opening and see the exhibit showcased to it maximum potential and therefore my photos are not the best. But the show is up until February 24 and it is worth the visit if for nothing else to see the AMAZING knit wear of Julia Ramsey.
But luckily there are many more reasons to go see it as all the work is interesting and thoughtfully installed.
See more info here and see the really exciting new group of artist residents here. (They have a really exciting group this time in my opinion.)
