I finished this piece yesterday. I am still questioning if I like it with the painted in color or not. It is always a scary step to decide if I want to add the paint in or not...I can't take it back once I do.
So after spending so many hours embroidering the piece it is frightening to know that in one second you can destroy it.
I think I like the paint but I wish I could have seen it with just the skin painted and nothing else...I am leaning towards thinking that that would have been ideal. So next time I will start with the skin only.
I had a very productive day in the studio yesterday and have a few new pieces in the works...it feels good to be excited again. But of course that makes it frustrating that today as I will not get any studio time in... I have other life moments to attend to.

This looks really nice. You are so quick at these! I like the subtle washes of color. Maybe next time you should start with the skin, to calm your nerves :)
