Work by Lisa Sarfati showing at Yossi Milo.
I am craving some inspiring photographs and I do not think theses quite cut it
but I find the work very interesting, especially in relationship to the other work of Sarfati's that I have seen.

The work documents the sites and people of Russia in the late 90's.

And at times the portraits are vulnerable and beautiful. But often feel more like fashion spreads.

Feeling too contrived and therefore I cannot trust many of them.
They start to feel like the idea of the person not a portrait of the real person.
