sweet and simple...

The simplicity of Mrs. Gibson of Sanski*art is great.
I love how she just takes a simple object, a simple back ground, and a simple stitch to make something so lovely...

and she has some perfectly sweet ones for valentines...

look at all those gorgeous french knots...lovely.

i saw her work the other day -- the two of you have inspired me to embroider again...my problem is choosing a focus and then my subject...

I really like how she takes her materials off the page, it brings in a third dimension, which I think involves the viewer more. Great feature!

P- just start with something simple...What are you thinking about? What surrounds you...once you do one thing the next idea will come right in...and I gave up trying to have a focus...never seemed to work for me:)

B- yes the 3 dimensionality is the key. I love when fibers become 3d:)
